Soviet KOI-7
Soviet KOI-7 is the earliest Soviet standard. It is a
7-bit character set, using only numerical values below 128. It is most
often used for telecommunication. This is the only character set which
contains no Latin letters at all. Note also that it does not contain the
upper case Russian tvyordyj znak, which you might have expected to
find at #127. Registered with ISO on May 30, 1979, Registration No. 37.

Notes: 1) Character #32 is a space,
#127 is the ASCII delete.
